New Nokia android phone

HMD Global has officially announced the Nokia 8.3 5G as the first 5G android smartphone from the Finnish company. Nokia 8.3 comes with a premium mid-range offer with 5G cameras, major improvements in performance and design. Let’s see what the change is.

The Nokia 8.3 5G has been completely redesigned, with punch-hole notch, slim bezels and Nordic design. The phone only comes with a reflective glass back in the ‘Polar Night’ color option. The Nokia 8.3 5G starts at around Rs 47,950 for the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage model, while the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variants cost around Rs 51,950).

The Nokia 8.3 5G is a Snapdragon 765G chip set, with an integrated 5G modem. The phone has a 4,500 mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. The Nokia 8.3 5G runs on Android 10 and is part of the Android One program, with three-year monthly security updates and two-year new updates guaranteed.

Nokia’s first 5G phone is a 6.81-inch Pure-display that offers FHD + resolution. According to Nokia, the phone has an HDR panel with adaptive display support, which allows contrast to be adjusted based on ambient lighting conditions. The screen can also upscale SDR footage to HDR.

For optics, the Nokia 8.3 5G has a quad-camera. The phone has a 64-megapixel primary sensor, with a 12-megapixel ultraviolet lens and two two-megapixel sensors for depth and macro mode.

The main and ultraviolet sensors are designed to focus on video recording and low-light performance. Both primary and ultraviolet sensors can capture footage in 4K resolution. Additionally, OZO audio and action cam modes complete the camcorder experience. The punch hole houses a 24-megapixel shooter with front ZEISS optics.

HMD’s gamble with the Nokia 9 Pure View isn’t quite finished, but the Nokia 8.3 5G has a different thread. It seems that the Nokia 8.3 5G will significantly knock the rest of the phones in the market, but it remains to be seen how the phone will perform in the price-competitive markets. HMD Global also claims that Nokia 8.3 is the ‘first truly global 5G smartphone’.
