At the same time, the price of a 128 GB storage variant with 6 GB RAM is Rs 13,499. This Samsung phone competes with smartphones such as the Redmi Note 10 and LG’s 42. Let’s know how this smartphone is in the review?
Samsung Galaxy M12 Review: design and display
It has a 6.5-inch HD + display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. The corner of the display is round and there are very few bezels on the side, but a little bezel will be found at the bottom. The phone has a TFT Infinity-V display and the refresh rate is 90hz which is a big plus point.
This is the only phone with a 90hz refresh rate at this price, although you will miss the AMOLED display, as most of the Samsung phones get a super AMOLED or AMOLED display. The display has a V-style notch and the colors are good.
About 80 percent of the back panel of the phone has a lining structure which helps a lot in making the gripping and does not allow the phone to slip by hand. The other part is the plane. The body of the phone is plastic. Such a design was seen in Samsung’s phone earlier in the Galaxy A12.
The phone has a single speaker grill. The power button has a fingerprint sensor which is also known as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone weighs 221 grams. The phone can be purchased in Attractive Black, Elephant Blue, and Trendy Emerald Gannin Color.
Talking about the camera, it has four rear cameras, in which the main lens is 48 megapixels, which has an aperture f / 2.0. The second lens is 5 megapixels ultra-wide with an aperture f / 2.2. The third lens is a 2-megapixel depth sensor and the fourth is a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The phone has an 8-megapixel front camera for a selfie.
Portrait, wide-angle, pro, panorama, and macro modes will be available with the camera. There is no night mode. With the rear camera, you can record HD and full HD videos at 30fps. The same output is also available in wide-angle. QR code scanner is also available with the camera. You cannot zoom a 48-megapixel lens. The phone is accompanied by a 10x zoom.
The performance of the camera will not be called spectacular but it is fine. Outputs are good in daylight, although there is a slight shortage of colors. Night shot photos remain weak. Low light photos will be considered average. The selfie lens manages the skin tone.
Samsung Galaxy M12 Review: performance
One UI Core 3.1 based on Android 11 has been given. This Samsung phone has an Exynos 850 processor which was launched in 2019. Earlier this processor was also seen in the Galaxy S21S. It has been prepared on an 8-nanometer process.
It is supported by Mali ™ -G52 for graphics. The phone has 4/6 GB RAM and 64/128 GB storage which can be expanded up to 1 TB with the help of a memory card. The phone comes pre-installed with apps like MX Taktak, Candy Crush, Moj, and Instagram. The Exynos 850 manages day-to-day work comfortably. Apart from this, multitasking and app switching is also fine.
The fingerprint sensor on the side-mounted ie the power button works faster, although the fingerprints of Samsung’s mid-range phones are slower than that. For connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi is not provided in it. The sound of the speaker is good, but the loudest sound will be a problem.
Samsung Galaxy M12 Review: Battery
Talking about the connectivity of the phone, it will get 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS / A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is given on the phone’s power button. It has a 6000mAh battery which supports 10 Watt fast charging.
The 10-watt charger will be found in the box along with the phone. Type-C cable, adapter, SIM card ejector, and warranty card will be available in the box along with the phone. You will have to buy the cover separately. The battery life of the phone is good. An average user will get a full-day battery backup, although charging is slow. It takes more than 2 hours to fully charge.
Overall, its price range makes the Galaxy M12 display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 6000mAh battery a strong contender. Apart from this, you also get Android 11, which is a big thing. The UI is clean. Also, you are getting brand value. So if you are looking for a budget phone with such features then this phone will be good for you.
