Apple said random shutdowns affecting certain iPhone 6s models may be more widespread than initially thought.
Battery Replacement
Last but not least, there is always the possibility of hardware failure. Most of the time, this is simply because your iPhone battery life has come to an end. This means that Apple, a service provider, or you will need to replace the device’s battery.
Before exchanging any type of hardware, we recommend checking the software side. The easiest way to check if one of your settings, apps, or part of the operating system is interfering with your battery life is to hard reset your iPhone.
However…
I think one thing that can be discussed here is that you have to strike a balance between giving people too much information and not giving them enough information . If you give a user enough winding, they will hang themselves, so to speak, replacing batteries too early or replacing phones that don’t need to be replaced.
But, for the sake of transparency, I think that beyond saying very publicly that they do this power management (that they’ve now done it twice), here could be a way to be more aggressive. and transparent with the user about when their battery directly affects the maximum performance of their iPhone.
Size and Design
The smaller of the two phones, the iPhone 6 was the more popular choice as it didn’t take iPhone 4 and 5 users very far. iPhones were incredibly square with straight edges and hard sides. The iPhone 6 was Apple’s first attempt at a sleeker design.
The slimness of the phone also makes it very comfortable to hold. It measures just 7.1mm front to back, 0.5mm. Compared to the newer phones on the market today, it’s much thinner and easier to hold than other iPhones.
Let iPhone cool down
iPhone can get significantly hot if left with a wireless charger or on a sunny day with maximum brightness, GPS, and many apps running. Once the internal temperature gets high enough, your iPhone becomes almost unusable or shuts down. You can turn it back on once it has cooled down.
To avoid random shutdowns, make sure you’re running the latest version of iOS. Go to iPhone Settings > General > Software Update to download and install the updated version of iOS.
